- Factual errors: At the beginning of the film a baby is born, and when there is a close-up of the newborn it has a bellybutton. A newborn baby would still have part of an umbilical cord, revealing the baby is actually older.
- Continuity: When Steve is trying to talk Bobby out of shooting himself, the barn door is closed. In the next shot, the barn door is open.
- Continuity: When Steve is nearly caught running away by the townspeople, the door of the vehicle behind him is open and then closed.
- Crew or equipment visible: At the end, when Steve's co-worker/friend comes looking for him, when he's bent down examining his tire, you can see his microphone pack through the back of his shirt.
- Revealing mistakes: The license tag is backwards, when the truck rolls over. It should have been easy to read, but they flipped the frame in editing.
- Continuity: Placement of the tarp on the car behind the barn. He pulls it off on one side, but when viewed next it is still laying neatly on the other corner.
- Continuity: When Steve meets Dr Greaver and follows him into his office, the Dr is wearing his white coat. He takes a phone call still wearing the white coat. When he hangs up the phone and stands up he is wearing his suit and the white coat is nowhere to be seen.
>>> WARNING: Here Be Spoilers <<<
Goofs below here contain information that may give away important plot points. You may not want to read any further if you've not already seen this title.
- Incorrectly regarded as goofs: SPOILER: The lobotomies received by the townsfolk are administered through the back of the skull (revealed by the wound dressing), into what would be the Parietal Lobe of the brain, which controls sensory and visiospacial information. This is because the Greavers made revisions to the normal lobotomy procedure (as shown on the chart in the basement).
- Continuity: SPOILER: During the alternate ending, you can see the charred tow truck being towed away, even though it wouldn't have been there in this particular ending.
