Trivia:
'Ceasar Millan', also known as the "Dog Whisperer", has been featured twice in the Ghost Whisperer series. In the episode "Dead Man's Ridge" in season 1, Andrea's character was seen twice reading a book written by the Dog Whisperer, Ceasar Millan. Also, in the season 2 episode "Children of Ghosts", Ceasar Millan himself makes a cameo appearance in a small scene in which Delia brings her dog, Bob, to the Dog Whisperer to find out why he behaves so strangely at times (while the audience is aware that Bob behaves strangely because there is a ghost dog nearby). moreFAQ

Pre-Viewing Comments: An episode in which Melinda adopts a child with powers like a poltergeist - sounds terrific.
The Good: - The fact that it takes a great deal of the episode for Melinda to see the ghost, adding an air of tension and mystery. - The massive twist when we find out Julie is not the daughter of Valerie. A great WTF? moment. - Jay Mohr proves to be the scene-stealer once again. Another host of one-liners awaits, and I particularly enjoy his ramblings about the Germans. His constant put-downs of Jim are also terrific. Another thing: his original suspicions prove to be wrong once again. - The way you almost sympathise with Valerie despite the fact she stole someone else's child. - The wonderful teaser ending in which the dog reacts to an unseen force.
The Bad: - The way Melinda almost stalks Julie in the first 15 minutes is rather unsettling. If this had been a man stalking her, all sorts of problems would have arisen. - Kathleen Wilhoite turns in an abysmal performance as Valerie. Shockingly bad.
The Ugly: - The annoying cameo by Cesar Millan. This preening self-absorbed idiot doesn't deserve screen time on this show.
Final Verdict: A terrific episode which builds the tension superbly, and turns out to be a real heart-breaker. Shame it's slightly spoiled by Cesar Millan's appearance. 9/10
