The 2008 MTV movie awards was no more than a mediocre awards show. This year it was hosted by Mike Myers and he was an alright host. The show was opened with a dance off between Mike Myers and Chris Brown. And it went on with the best female performance and best comedic performance and so on. Last year it was hosted by Sarah Silverman, and she made the show much more enjoyable. Mike Myers was sort of funny too. I like this one joke he made about the high gas prices, he said "gas prices are so high that Optimus Prime, The truck from Tranformers, had to take the bus." There were performances from the pussycat dolls and coldplay. It was a fairly enjoyable award show and Adam Sandler was awarded The generation award ( I am not sure if that is what it is called) and Iron Man won best movie of the summer so far.
